A fabulous turquoise bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 15kt yellow gold (which indicates that it is of English origin), the piece is a hinged bangle style bracelet with a curved belly front. At the center of the design is a horseshoe that has been set with a row of vibrant turquoise stones. The three-dimensional design also features an intricately engraved buckle that wraps around each side of the horseshoe and feeds through a raised loop. A turquoise stone accents each side of the horseshoe and at the center is a beautiful 8-point star that is detailed with a turquoise stone and 8 old Rose Cut diamonds. The bracelet is hinged and opens at at the side with a safety chain for added security. This fashionable bracelet looks incredible when worn and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and 1 7/8" tall. The front of the bracelet 1 1/8" tall and at the widest point and 1/2" tall at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the turquoise and diamond stones are all intact. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
