Victorian Sterling Enamel "God with You" Bangle Bracelet
A beautiful and unusual bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) period! Made of sterling silver, this fabulous piece has a simple and attractive design. The bracelet has a smooth, rich black enamel surface which carries around the entire exterior and carved into the front is the phrase "Gott mit Dir" (meaning God with You). The letters are pierced and stand out beautifully against the black background, creating a wonderful, bold design. The bracelet is hinged and clasps at the side at a decorative etched sterling clasp. The interior is stamped "CB1". This bold Victorian bracelet blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would look fabulous worn alone or stacked with a group of similar bracelets!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/8" wide and approximately 1 3/4" tall. The surface is approximately 3/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or black enamel surface and the clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
