A wonderful pair of carved coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of solid coral, each earring is formed by a cluster of carved coral cabochons and delicate urns that are set in 14kt yellow gold. Each earring begins with a coral cabochon topper attached to a simple gold earring wire. A cluster of four coral cabochons rests underneath, and dangling freely below are three delicate urns, the largest in the middle with an elongated shape and handles at either side. The coral has a smoothly polished surface and a rich, luscious color that looks fantastic and vibrant when worn. The creative design gives the earrings lovely movement while still remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear. These marvelous and unusual earrings would make an exceptional addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long, measure 5/8" at their widest point and are 1/4" at their thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved coral or gold setting. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
