Early Victorian Drippy Rose Cut Diamond Earrings
An incredible pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These impressive earrings are quite large in size and are handmade of sterling topped 14kt gold. The design is very ornate with flower like clusters, leaves, and ribbons that create a stunning overall effect. Each earring features 8 old Rose Cut diamonds held within a pinched sterling setting, which is raised along the front surface of the piece. The earrings hang from toppers that are affixed to 14kt yellow gold wires and the back of the earrings reveals the wirework frame on which the design is assembled. The earrings have a magnificent, important look and are absolutely stunning when worn!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 3" long, are 7/8" wide and slightly more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling topped gold or to the diamonds, all of which are intact.X
