An absolutely fabulous pair of hand carved coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) time period. These wonderful earrings begin with a single coral bead surmount which has a 14kt gold posts riveted through it. The earrings dangle down with 5 smaller coral beads that are connected by small gold links. A horizontal coral bar hangs in the center of the earrings which is where 3 even smaller coral beads dangle from by more gold links. At the very bottom of each earring are 3 luscious carved coral links that each portray a bunch of grapes. Each coral link and bead is intricately hand carved with wonderful detail. They're simply lovely earrings that would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang slightly less than 2 3/8" long, are approximately 3/4" at the widest point and a little more than 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides a few very minor chips, there is no serious damage to the coral. Additionally, there is no apparent damage to the gold links or posts.
