Fantastic onyx earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is made of black onyx and 14kt yellow gold and is beautifully decorated with enameled detail. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional design, hang from a round onyx bead surmount which is attached to simple gold earring wires. Hanging below is an upside down "V" shaped link of onyx with a striped yellow gold and black enamel bar at the top. Attached is a curved onyx link which has several carved lines on its front surface. A teardrop shaped bead hangs in the center of the earring, giving the earrings beautiful movement when they're worn. These gorgeous and elegant earrings look absolutely stunning on and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, and 5/8" at the widest point and 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or to the onyx.
