A pair of fabulous gold nail earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The square head nail design has been replicated by Gucci since the 1960s and has its origins in the equestrian world, being modeled after the nails used to hold the horse's shoe in place. Made of 14kt yellow gold, these delicate earrings have a very fashionable look with a simple, straight nail design. At the top of each nail is a single sparkling diamond, which is set just below the head of the nail. The earrings hang from gold toppers that are affixed wires. The simple, yet attractive nail design would appeal to the modern day fashion forward woman!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 5/8" long, are 1/8" wide and 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or to the diamond stones, both of which are intact.
