Victorian 15kt Pave Set Persian Turquoise Earrings
A magnificent pair of Etruscan Persian Turquoise Earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 15kt yellow gold, the earrings are oval in shape and particularly large in size. A wonderful design of Pave (French for "pavement") set turquoise stones cover the surface of the center link which has an oval shape with a convex face. A marvelous twisted wire frame borders the turquoise and at the base of each earring are 23 fringed gold bars that range in length to create a triangular shape. The earrings hang from a small hinged topper, detailed with 4 turquoise stones and are attached to simple gold earring wires. This eye catching piece has a fabulous look that would make a perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 2 1/4" long, is a little less than 1" wide and approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the turquoise stones, which are all intact.
