Exquisite micro mosaic earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring, which is made of 18kt rose gold, depicts a slightly different, but equally beautiful, micro mosaic picture of a swan with a deep red background. Hanging from the mosaics are 3 free-swinging triangles with three gold balls hanging from the bottom of each of them. The swans dangle from a triangular shaped topper which has a free swinging center bar with decorative gold balls. Each earring hangs from long 18kt rose gold wires. They are stunning examples of Italian Victorian artistry and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hangs approximately 3" long, are 3/4" at the widest point and have a depth of 1/8". Each individual swan micro mosaic has a diameter of approximately 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the earrings wires. The mosaics are missing a few very minor chips which is not uncommon for a Victorian micro mosaic piece; this is not noticeable when the earrings are worn.
