Victorian 18kt Yellow Gold Large Urn Earrings
An outstanding pair of dangling gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold, each earring portrays a simple yet stunning urn design. The earrings are particularly large in size and have a fabulous 3-dimensional look, which is detailed with fine twisted rope wirework accents. At the top of each earring is a simple yellow gold earring wire attached to an oval shaped surmount. In the center of each is a gold bead which is framed by twisted rope wire. Dangling below is an attractive gold urn, complete with curled handles which rest on either side. Twisted wirework rests at the top and center of each urn, adding richness and depth to the design. The back of each topper is stamped "750" along with an arrow hallmark. These marvelous earrings look fabulous when worn and have a beautiful design that would make a wonderful addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, is 3/4" at the widest point and is 1/2" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting, wirework or to the earring wires.
