A stunning pair of banded agate earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is made of sterling silver and features a large banded agate stone set within a bezel setting. At the top of each is a single agate bead which attaches to a simple sterling earring wire, creating an attractive yet simple topper. The banded agate stones are polished smooth and have a deep brownish black color with a white and grey band encircling the outside of the stone. The bezel setting is open in the back, showing the reverse side of the agate stone. When worn, the earrings look fabulous and make a lovely statement! They would make a perfect addition to any collection.
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 1/2" long, are 7/8" across at their widest point and have a thickness of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver or to the banded agate stones, which are intact. The sterling earring wires are both secure and in good condition.
