A wonderful pave turquoise locket from the Victorian era (ca1880)! This beautiful oval-shaped piece is made of gilded silver and has a lovely design. The entire front surface of the locket is covered with pavé (French for "pavement") turquoise stones which vary in size and color, displaying beautiful hues in a variety of green and blue shades. The pendant hangs from a complimentary bail that holds a graduated row of five turquoise stones. The back of the locket reveals an opening with a removable glass window held behind a scalloped silver border. This artistic piece would look gorgeous worn on a simple silver chain and would make a beautiful addition to any woman's jewelry collection!

Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 5/8" long, is 7/8" wide and 3/8" at its thickest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver gilt setting and all of the turquoise stones are intact.
