A fabulous an unusual etched locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era. This large locket is made of 14kt yellow gold and is oval in shape. The entire surface of the piece has an etched design that gives in an textured appearance and at the bottom are the hand engraved initials "MAH". A bezel set cabochon moonstone is set at the top of the piece and the back has a glass face which can be removed to place your favorite photograph inside. A large bail is at the top of the locket which is perfect for attaching to a long chain. A wonderful and unusual piece, this locket would make a fabulous addition to any collection.
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 3 3/8" long, is 2 1/8" at the widest point and 5/8" thick. The bail has a diameter of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold locket, glass locket face or to the moonstone.
