An absolutely gorgeous locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The locket, which is made of 15kt yellow gold, has a raised 6-point starburst that sits on the front face. The starburst is comprised of 26 Mine Cut diamonds and 1 natural pearl in the center. The most vertical points of the star, which are slightly longer than the other four, have 5 diamonds in each point. The remaining four points of the star have 4 diamonds in each. On the inside of the locket is a black and white photograph of a Victorian gentleman. The locket has a high karat bloom finish which gives it a rich, bold color. It's simply a beautiful Victorian piece!
Measurements: The locket measures approximately 1 3/4" long from the bottom of the locket to the top of the jump ring that is soldered to the top of the locket, 1 1/4" wide and 1/2" at the thickest point. The starburst on the face of the locket measures approximately 1 1/2" long and 1" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and all of the stones/pearl are intact. There is some normal wear to the surface of the gold which is normal for any Victorian piece.
