Victorian 15kt Gold Rose Cut Diamond & Enamel Locket
A beautiful locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely 15kt yellow gold oval shaped locket portrays a stacked diamond shaped design in the center with 4 old Rose Cut diamonds set within it. The diamonds are bead set and surrounded by a thin border of black enameling. Twisted and textured gold rope wire comes from behind the diamonds and wraps around the bottom diamond shape. The simple design is set within the concave face of the locket which is surrounded by a thin gold frame. On the back of the locket are the engraved initials in fancy scripture: "CLE". The inside opens to reveal a black and white Victorian photo of a gentleman, set behind a oval piece of glass. The photo could easily be changed to your favorite photo if desired. It is a stunning locket and a fine example of the Victorian period.
