A wonderful powder compact locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unusual piece is particularly large in size and comprised of a gunmetal case with a small mirror in the center of the round encasing. On the opposite side of the mirror, a cover opens to display a deep circle where powder would have gone. This unique locket would look fabulous as a statement pendant hanging from a long chain. It's a magnificent piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurement: The powder compact measures 2 1/2" tall, has a diameter of a little less than 2", and is a little more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the compact is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gunmetal piece. The original mirror on the interior of the locket is cracked slightly which is only noticeable when the piece is open. The locket closes easily and securely.
