Early Victorian 18kt Sterling Rose Cut Diamond Collar Necklace

SKU: 36619

$9,600

An absolutely gorgeous diamond necklace from the Early Victorian (ca1850) era! This stunning piece is made of sterling-topped 18kt gold and has a collar-length design. The necklace is comprised of 10 curved panel links, each formed by a row of sparkling Rose Cut diamonds. The diamonds are held in individual scalloped bezels that rest in between two bars to create a channel setting. Each link is hinged together at either end, giving the necklace wearable flexibility and allowing it to form an attractive curve at the neckline when worn. The piece fastens together in the back with a secure push clasp, which is stamped with two small hallmarks on the tongue. The back of the necklace reveals the closed-back setting in gold, and a small hook at the center makes it possible to hang a complimentary pendant if desired. A dazzling diamond piece, it would look stunning worn everyday or for special occasions, and would make a magnificent addition to any collection!

Measurements: The necklace has a curved design, making it difficult when measuring to assess the exact length, but the approximate total length measures 14" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling-topped 18kt gold setting, and all of the Rose Cut diamonds are intact. The push clasp is very secure and in good working condition.
