An absolutely stunning moonstone necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous necklace is comprised of 15k moonstone links which hang in a festoon style from a fine 14kt yellow gold link chain. The beautiful moonstones are oval in shape with a convex face and graduate very slightly in size. Each is bezel set with an open back and surrounded by a simple gold frame. The moonstones are gorgeous and clear with subtle flashes of blue which looks wonderful against the vibrant 14kt yellow gold setting and chain. The necklace has a barrel style clasp which closes securely at the nape. The necklace rests beautifully along the collar of the neck and looks stunning on. It's a simply marvelous necklace that would be a perfect piece worn for a special occasion!
Measurements: The necklace chain measures approximately 18" long. The oval shaped moonstone links range in size from 5/8" long and a little less than 3/8" wide being the largest and 1/2" long and 1/4" wide being the smallest.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or setting and all of the moonstones are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
