A fantastic onyx bead necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is comprised of 12 faceted, onyx beads which alternate with round onyx beads. The larger, oval shaped beads carry 2 unique designs: long smooth lines or rhombus shaped facets and connecting each bead to the next are small 14kt yellow gold rings. The push clasp is hidden within one of the beads and has a safety chain for added security. The necklace is a true statement piece and would be a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each oval shaped link measures slightly more than 3/4" long, and has a diameter of slightly more than 3/8” at the widest point. Each round onyx bead has a diameter of slightly more than 1/4". The overall length of the necklace is 18".
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or serious chips in the onyx. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
