A fabulous and unusual gold gooseneck chain necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold and portrays a flexible gooseneck chain. The ends of the chain cross over each other at the center of the necklace, and appear to be held together with a thick gold buckle. The buckle has a fabulous 3-dimensional appearance and a small flip down bail attaches to the underside which is perfect for attaching a locket or pendant if desired. At each end of the chain is decorative gold fringe which completes the look of the piece perfectly. The necklace comes together at a hidden push clasp that fastens easily at the back of the neck. It's a true statement piece that looks fantastic worn. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
