An absolutely fabulous English gold medallion necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unique piece is comprised of a 9kt rose gold chain made of small interlocked rings. Attached to the chain is a compilation of 5 medallions, all of which are made of 9kt rose and yellow gold. The largest medal, which hangs from the center of the chain, has a scrolled motif and the other 4 medallions are slightly smaller and hang from each side of the center pendant. The back of each medallion is stamped with multiple English hallmarks along with ".375" and "9". The clasp of the chain is stamped “9c”. The compilation of medallions makes this necklace very unique and looks striking on! It is a beautiful piece and would make a perfect addition to any Victorian collection!
