A beautiful turquoise necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely and feminine piece is set in sterling silver and comprised of 24 round and oval shaped turquoise stones. Thirteen vibrant stones line the neck of the piece and 11 additional stones dangle in a festoon style. The stones vary in size and shape but are slightly larger towards the center, creating a dramatic, beautiful look. The turquoise is a brilliant blue color with natural mineral spider webbing throughout. A sterling silver chain completes the necklace and clasps in the back. The clasp is stamped "STERLING". It's a wonderful piece that would look great worn day or night!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16.5" long. The turquoise pieces range slightly in size, however, on an average, the round stones measure 6.5mm in diameter and oval stones measure 1/2" long and 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the turquoise or to the gold setting or chain. The clasp (which is a modern clasp) is secure and in good working condition.
