An absolutely exquisite set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Comprised of a pair of earrings and a very large pendant, all three pieces depict a wonderful design and are made of 15kt yellow gold and turquoise. Each piece of the set has a 3-dimensional look with a shell-like tab that weaves through the center of a gold ring. Set within the gold ring are vividly colored calibrated turquoise stones. The weaved tab is lined in delicate Etruscan wirework. The ring on the pendant is surrounded on both sides by a gold beadwork border. Dangling from each piece are several hollow tear drop vessels (7 hang from each earring and 9 hang from the pendant). Each piece is simply wonderful and it is certainly one of the most gorgeous Victorian sets that I have ever seen!
Measurements: The pendant measures 1 1/4" wide, 2 3/4" long and 1/4" thick with a bail that is 1/4" wide and 3/8" long. Each earring hangs 2 1/2" long and measures a little less than 3/4" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold or to the earring wires and all of the turquoise stones are intact.
