A gorgeous Rose Cut pin from the early Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of sterling topped 18kt yellow gold, this wonderful diamond encrusted piece portrays the shape of a diving swallow bird. The bird displays 2 outstretched wings, along with 2 tail feathers and ruby stones in place of eyes. The entire body of the bird is lined with old Rose Cut diamonds which catch the light and sparkle beautifully. On the back of the piece is the original 'c' catch pin clasp. It's a fabulous and fun piece for any collector!
Measurements: The bird measures 3 1/8” wide, 2" tall, and has a depth of 1/4”.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
