An absolutely stunning diamond encrusted, shooting arrow pin from the Victorian (ca1880) period! This gorgeous handmade piece portrays the 3-dimensional shape of an arrow with curved feathers at its end and ribbon flowing around the shaft. The piece, which is particularly large in size, is made of sterling topped 15kt gold, and encrusted with old Rose and old Mine Cut diamonds. The diamonds, which are bead-set within the pin, vary in size from .10ct to 1.75ct, and have a total approximate weight of 9.45ct tw. The back of the piece reveals a long bar pin, along with a fine gold safety chain and smaller pin for added security. This unique piece comes with its original box from “H. DANKER” jewelers, located in Dublin. It is a remarkable piece and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: The long pin measures approximately 5 1/2" long, is slightly more than 1 1/4" at the widest point, and has a depth of about 5/8" at the deepest point.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to sterling topped gold setting, and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
