A gorgeous and unusual buckle pin from the Victorian (ca1880) pin. This beautiful piece, which is particularly large is size, is made of 14kt yellow gold and depicts a large buckle. The pin, which has a high carat wash, has 10 old Mine Cut diamonds and 10 vivid sapphires lining the entire front surface, adding richness to the design. The piece looks to have once been an actual belt buckle which was later turned into a large pin. Although the belt prongs are still present in the center of the piece, they have been tacked down so that they no longer move. There is a secure clasp on the back with a safety for extra security. A very unusual and fun piece this gorgeous pin would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The overall size of the pin measures approximately 3 3/16" long and 2 5/16" wide. The border of the pin, where the stones are, measure approximately 3/8" wide and is 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and all of the stones are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
