Victorian 14kt Black Enamel & Rose Cut Diamond Ring
An absolutely fabulous enamel and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 14kt yellow gold, this unusual ring is particularly large in size with a bold, dome-shaped design. The surface of the dome is enameled with a rich black color that has a wonderful glossy finish. Decorating the top of the round dome is a starburst-inspired design comprised of 13 old Rose Cut diamonds in a delicate bead setting. The sparkling white diamonds stand out dramatically against the dark black background, accenting the design perfectly. Surrounding the base of the enameled dome is a bezel with a wonderful twisted gold rope border and the shoulders of the ring are beautifully detailed with engraved detail and a swirled, pillar-like design. The inside of the shank is stamped "14K." This dramatic ring has a bold, fashionable look that makes a perfect eye-catching statement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.75 but could easily be re-sized if desired. The dome rests approximately 5/8" above the finger when worn and has a diameter of 3/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or black enamel and all of the diamonds are intact.
