Victorian 18kt Banded Agate & Rose Cut Diamond Ring
A magnificent banded agate ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This bold ring, which is particularly large in size, is made of 18kt yellow gold and holds a single banded agate cabochon at its center. The large, round agate has a polished finish and banding in stunning hues of deep brown, white and rich caramel colors. Surrounding the banded agate stone is a sparkling border of 28 sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds. The diamonds weigh approximately 0.10ct each and have a total approximate carat weight of 2.80ctw. Six additional diamonds decorate the shoulders of the ring which extend to a beautifully hand engraved band. The sides of the mounting display a delicate, scalloped wirework design above a hand engraved motif. This incredible ring has an eye-catching look and would make a breathtaking addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.25 but could easily be re-sized. The front of the ring has a diameter of 7/8" and rests approximately 5/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the banded agate stone and diamonds are all intact.
