A magnificent Scottish agate pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of sterling silver, the pendant is particularly large in size and forms the shape of an old fashioned skeleton key with an orate floral handle and a long barrel shaft. The front of the piece is topped with inlaid Scottish agate, which displays a stunning range of earthy colors, including red, brown, tan, milky white, grey, forest green, and yellow. Originally a pin, the large key has since been converted to a pendant and now hangs from a simple sterling bail. This beautiful piece has excellent craftsmanship and would make a very special addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs measures 4" long, is 1 3/8" wide (across the front of the handle) and is slightly more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver or to the Scottish agate.
