Wonderful Victorian (ca1880) diamond, sapphire and pearl earrings! Each earring has two free swinging tear drop shaped sections, one inside of the other, that are embellished with alternating Rose Cut diamonds, seed pearls and sapphires. The sapphires and Rose Cut diamonds are all bezel set with a milgrained surface; the diamonds set in silver and the sapphires set in 18kt yellow gold. The seed pearls are all individually attached to the 18kt gold setting with a single pin riveted through the center. In the center of the smaller tear drop shape is a free moving seed pearl that attaches to a ring attached to the inside of the tear drop. At the surmount of the earring is a flower shape cluster with 7 rose cut diamonds set in a silver milgrained setting. From this flower cluster hangs a single seed pearl which then attaches to the larger of the two tear drop shapes. The earring wires are made of 18kt gold. They are simply beautiful and unusual Victorian earrings!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" long at the longest point and slightly less than 7/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver or gold metal or to the wires and all of the stones/pearls are intact.
