A wonderful Vintage gold charm/pendant from the 1950s! This delightful piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and depicts a miniature old fashioned record player. The box-shaped charm has a three dimensional design, with a delicate white pearl accenting the bar and needle, and a raised gold disc representing a vinyl record sitting on top. Not only does the charm resemble a real record player, it is also designed with a functional music box component inside! A winder on the side of the piece twists to play the tune "Happy Birthday," adding a very whimsical touch. The top of the box is removable and lifts up to reveal the mechanical workings of the music box inside. The charm hangs from a simple gold jump ring, and the side is marked "14K." This remarkably creative and charming pendant would look fabulous worn alone on a gold chain, or added to a special charm bracelet or necklace. It would make a unique birthday gift and is perfect for any collector!
Measurements: The charm measures 3/4" on each side, has a thickness of 5/16", and is slightly more than 1/2" at its tallest point. It hangs 1" long including the bail at the top.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or pearl, which is intact. The top lifts off easily and stays securely closed. The music box inside is fully functional and the winder is in good condition. The bail is intact and secure.
