Vintage American Indian Sterling & Turquoise 3-Hoop Earrings
A gorgeous pair of Vintage turquoise hoop earring from the 1960s! These incredible American Indian earrings are made of sterling silver and are particularly large in size. Each earring has a beautiful inlaid turquoise design and is comprised of three graduated flat hoops. The surmount of each earring is represented by a flower-like design, formed by round and teardrop shaped turquoise stones. The three turquoise hoops dangle freely below, the smaller hoops fitting inside the larger ones to create an attractive layered look. All of the turquoise stones have marvelous coloring in vivid green and blue hues that look wonderful against the silver setting. On the back of each surmount is a simple post and secure earring back. This beautiful pair of earrings is a wonderful example of American Indian jewelry and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 2 5/8" long, are 1 3/8" across at the widest point and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the turquoise stones, all of which are intact. The earring posts and backs are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the silver, which adds depth to its appearance, but could be easily polished if a brighter look is desired.
