A stunning Retro (ca1940) brooch with a large aquamarine stone and diamonds.  This gorgeous handmade piece is made of 18kt yellow gold designed with "C" shaped curves of polished gold terminating in a scroll on each side.  It is accented with platinum topped "C" curves which have millegrained edged channels that sit on each side of pin.  Each channel has 11 bead set, single cut diamonds.  In the center of the brooch is a 4 prong, double wire box set with 1 large medium dark blue aquamarine which measures approximately 21 x 16.10 x 9.50mm and is emerald cut.  It has very good clarity and weighs approximately 22.0ctw.  The double wire on each long end of the box is fashioned with a floral, petal and stem motif.  On each short end of the box is a yellow gold section topped with a platinum millegrained edge and bead set with 4 single cut diamonds.  On the outside of this section is a floral motif.  Total diamond weight of the pin is approximately 1.00ctw with I1-I2 clarity.  On the back is a secure clasp with a safety.  The piece also has an appraisal from an accredited, independent gemologist which states that the retail replacement value would be $11,750.00.  A simply beautiful pin with a very strong Retro look!

Measurements: The brooch measures approximately 2" x 1 3/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the piece excellent.  There are no apparent dents to the gold and all of the stones are intact.  The clasp is secure and is in good working condition.
