Victorian 14kt Repoussed Heart Locket w/ Cherubs

A beautiful locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era. This 14kt yellow gold repoussed heart shaped locket has 2 beautiful winged cherubs on the front carrying a monogrammed shield. The initials "H M R"  in fancy script are engraved on the shield and a garland of flowers decorate the top of the locket. The inside opens to reveal 2 original photographs, one on each side, of a Victorian man and woman. This locket would look lovely worn alone or with other lockets and pendants!

Measurements: The locket measures slightly less than 1 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1/8" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. There are no apparent dents or dings in the surface of the gold and the locket closes easily and securely. There are a few very minor surface scratches on the back of the locket which is not unusual for a Victorian locket.
