Victorian 14kt Sapphire & Etruscan Earrings
Beautiful Etruscan and sapphire earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these exquisite earrings is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold and is comprised of a decorative round oval that hangs from a gold topper. In the center of each oval is a raised ribbon-like design with a row of three oval sapphire stones in the middle. The contrast between the deep blue hue of the sapphires and the rich yellow gold is simply outstanding! Textured gold details and an ornate Etruscan wirework border completes the beautiful Victorian design. Very light and comfortable to wear, these gorgeous earrings are concave on the back and hollow inside. They hang from simple gold earring wires attached to the yellow gold toppers. These gorgeous handmade earrings display exceptional artistry and would look elegant worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, is 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting or to the sapphire stones, all of which are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good condition. There is some minimal damage to the Etruscan wirework which is hardly noticeable when the earrings are worn.
