Vintage 9kt Tortoise Shell "Gucci Style" Anchor Link Bracelet
Now a banned material, antique and vintage tortoise shell jewelry has become very collectable! This fabulous tortoise shell link bracelet from the 1970s is especially beautiful. Likely an Italian piece, the bracelet is comprised of six oversized anchor links made of carved tortoise shell, which are attached together with large 9kt yellow gold connectors. Anchor-style links have their origin in the Victorian era, but were made popular by Gucci and are now incorporated into many fashionable designs. Each of the tortoise shell links has magnificent coloring, with rich brown and warm golden caramel hues. Anchor links made of carved tortoise shell are particularly unusual, and when paired with yellow gold the overall effect is gorgeous! The bracelet fastens at a clasp hidden seamlessly within one of the gold connectors, and a safety clasp provides extra security. The underside of each gold connector is stamped "375." It's a simple yet beautiful piece and would make a fashionable addition to any collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures 8" long, is 7/8" wide, and 1/2" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold connectors or carved tortoise shell links. The clasp and safety are both secure and in good working condition.
