A simply beautiful chain from the Art Deco (ca1920) period! Made of 14k yellow gold, this lovely piece is comprised of delicate filigree links that have fine lattice work detail with foliate motifs and milgrain work. The filigree shapes alternate with small bar links, which together form a wonderful chain. At the back of the necklace is a hook on a hinge that folds down to secure the necklace shut. The chain comes together at a diamond-shaped decorative filigree link and an additional filigree panel hangs from the center, allowing you to attach your favorite pendant. At the back of the pendant drop, you'll notice the same style hook used on the closure. At the closure there is a patent mark as well as a "14k" purity mark, and a worn maker's mark. Underneath the pendant hook is another "14k" gold purity mark held within a cone shape. This gorgeous filigree chain is a very versatile piece, and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 15.25" in length and the center drop measures 1.5"in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain. The two hinged hooks are secure and in good working condition
