Art Deco 14kt Carnelian & Rock Quartz 2-Strand Necklace 16"
A gorgeous beaded carnelian necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This stunning piece is comprised of two strands of graduated carnelian beads, each separated by a faceted rock quartz crystal spacer. The smooth, richly colored carnelian beads are are strung on orange string and both strands meet at a beautiful carnelian clasp. The clasp is portrayed by a hand carved carnelian plaque which rests within a 14kt yellow gold setting. The push-style clasp is stamped "14K" on the back of the setting and on the tongue. An absolutely gorgeous and versatile necklace, it would look perfect worn everyday and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the necklace is approximately 16" long. The largest bead measures 8mm and the smallest measures 5mm. The clasp measures 1" long, 1/2" tall, and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is some minimal normal surface wear to some of the carnelian beads, which is not unusual for a piece from the Art Deco era and is not noticeable when worn. The beads are all securely strung and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.
