$4,895

A one-of-a-kind fob pendant necklace from the Early Victorian (ca1850's) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this Blackamoor intaglio features a man with a carved banded agate face. He wears a bowtie with a diamond at its center and the ornate piece representing his body rotates freely; one side is set with a trio of lush red rubies and the other with glinting Rose Cut diamonds. He sits atop a white and orange agate stone in a 15kt yellow gold layered bezel, and a lovely bloodstone intaglio rests underneath, boasting a hand-carved figurehead. The fob hangs from a sterling-topped bail set with a diamond, carried by a unique contemporary vermeil sterling chain. The unusual chain has a 3-dimensional twisted design and is marked twice with "KA1772" and "925 ITALY" on its endcaps and "925" on the lobster clasp's tongue. This fabulous piece of history would be an incredible addition to an Early Victorian collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 22" in length. The fob hangs 1 3/16" tall. The intaglio measures about 3/4" wide and slightly more than 5/8" deep.

Condition: The fob necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling topped setting. The agate, rubies, diamonds, and bloodstone are intact and securely set. The freely spinning mechanism, bail, chain, and lobster clasp are all secure and in good working condition.
