Victorian 14k Family Crest Intaglio Signet Ring

SKU: 46499

$2,595
A signet ring can be represented with an intaglio, which is created by carving below the surface of a stone, or by a simple smooth seal. Its purpose would have been to seal the wax of a letter or note.

An incredible and unusual gold signet ring from the Victorian (ca1900) era! This fabulous ring is crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold and has a large oval-shaped face with a carved family crest intaglio center. At the center of the signet is a bold rearing lion and crown crest. The underside of the signet is stamped with an indistinguishable  hallmark. This incredible ring is simply stunning and would look wonderful on anyone!

Measurements: The ring has a large finger size of 8.5 but could easily be re-sized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the signet design.
