A gorgeous compilation of mixed metals watch chains and a lovely locket from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These two fabulous watch chains are made of platinum and 14kt rose gold and carry a slightly different yet complimentary alternating link design. Separately short in length, the chains have been combined to make a single long chain and attach to a open faced locket. The locket is double sided with a smooth rock quartz crystal cover on each side. The original black and white photographs are still present in the locket, however, these could easily be changed or removed by unscrewing the top bail and simply opening the gold encasement. The chains have two separate clasps, a watch swivel and a simple spring clasp which is perfect for hanging the crystal locket from. Worn together or separate, this fabulous compilation would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The combined length of the two watch chains measures 24.25" long, one measuring 9.75", the other 14.5" in length. The locket hangs a little more than 1" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the chains and locket are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold links or to either clasp, which fastens securely and is in good working condition. In addition, there is no apparent damage to the rock quartz crystal locket and the screw top bail is secure and in good working condition.
