A fabulous beaded necklace from the Retro (ca1940s) era! The necklace is comprised of beautiful rainbow moonstone beads, which are graduated and smoothly polished, and a mix of rutilated and tourmalated quartz beads. The rainbow moonstone beads display a wonderful pearlescent quality, which comes alive with iridescent flashes of green, blue, and violet. The asymmetrical quartz beads display delicate spindles of black and gold, natural inclusions that add intrigue to the graduated stone beads. A 14kt rosy yellow gold clasp secures the necklace, decorated on each side by two round gold beads. The length of the necklace allows it to slip easily on and off overhead, even when the clasp is fastened. A stylish and versatile piece, it would complement any sense of fashion and make a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 25 1/2" in length. The moonstone beads graduate in size, ranging from 1/4" to 7/16" in diameter. The quartz beads range from an average of 1/2" long and 7/16" in diameter to 3/4" long and 1/2" in diameter at the central bead.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rainbow moonstone beads or to the quartz beads, all of which are intact. The stringing is secure, and the gold push clasp is in good working order.
