SKU: 45291

$2,495

A stunning pin from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this piece depicts the Greek mythological "Rod of Asclepius" design. The Greek god, Asclepius, is associated with healing and medicine, and his staff is depicted in many modern medical designs. The sterling-topped snake coils itself around the golden staff which is topped by a lustrous white pearl. Rose Cut diamonds adorn the snake's body, glinting as they catch the light. Delicate ruby cabochons represent the serpent's eyes, and the tail has a delicate scale design. A simple pin and c-clasp ready the piece to be worn on a favorite outfit. This gorgeous piece would be an impressive addition to a Victorian collection and a meaningful piece for anyone who devotes their life to healing others.

Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 3/4" tall, about 3/8" wide, and the pearl measures 6mm in diameter.

Condition: The pin is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. The diamonds, rubies, and the pearl are all intact and securely set. The pin and c-clasp are secure and in good working condition.
