A fob is an adornment or a seal that hangs from the ribbon or chain of a pocket watch. Its purpose is to decorate or add weight to the watch chain itself making it easier for the watch to be withdrawn from a pocket.

A spectacular carved bone fob from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! This hand carved bone figural fob is wonderfully detailed and depicts a three-dimensional horse head. The incredible craftsmanship includes delicate facial features, a lifelike mane, and striking painted glass eyes. The horse head is accented by a gold filled bit and bridle, lending to a lifelike equestrian look. The piece hangs from a simple gold jump ring, which is ideal for hanging from your favorite chain. An unusual Victorian piece, it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ivory fob measures approximately 1" tall, is 1" at the widest point and 2/5" at the thickest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the fob is very good. There is minor wear that is consistent with its age.
