An exquisite Victorian style Riviera diamond necklace! Made of sterling topped 18kt gold, this beautiful necklace has 51 graduating old Mine Cut diamond stones which are prong set within a bezel setting. Each diamond is separated by two small gold links and the clasp of the necklace is hidden within a cluster of 7 additional diamonds. The diamonds have a have G-J color range, SI clarity range and an overall total approximate diamond weight of 17.00 ctw, with the largest stone weighing approximately 1.25ct and the smallest weighing 0.09ct. The tongue of the clasp is stamped "1795". The necklace was appraised by an accredited and independent GIA certified Gemologist in February 2014 and has a stated retail replacement value of $45,000.00. Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting or to the diamond stones, all of which are intact. The push clasp is secure and in good working condition.
