Early Retro 14kt/Platinum Asscher Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 0.86ct
A gorgeous mixed metals diamond engagement ring from the Early Retro (ca1930s) era! This beautiful two-tone piece has a 14kt yellow gold band topped in platinum and displays a fabulous old Asscher Cut diamond at the center. The stone has an approximate total weight of 0.86ct, I color and VS1 clarity and the unique design is absolutely stunning. The diamond is set in a prong setting, and accented by four additional diamonds lining the shoulders of the ring, each individually bead set within a triangular box setting. The knife edge gold band tapers in slightly as it reaches the back and the shank is stamped "14K." The ring comes with an appraisal by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist. A beautiful and very special piece, it looks marvelous when worn and would make a gorgeous engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could easily be resized if desired. The center diamond rests slightly less than 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the mixed metals setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
