A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Georgian (ca1830) era! This gorgeous 18kt yellow gold piece holds a beautiful 0.75ct old Rose Cut diamond at the center of a beautiful Georgian mounting. The foil back setting allows the facets to brilliantly catch the light with every turn while the stone rests within a lovely buttercup setting. The mounting adorns a gorgeous carved design featuring delicate cutouts and subtle black enamel tracery that adds a wonderful Georgian era aesthetic to the piece. The carved design carries half way around the band, which trails into a smoothly polished finish at the back. A unique and magnificent piece, it could be worn to mark a special occasion or would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 4.75, but could be resized. The centerpiece rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamond is intact and securely set. The black enamel tracery shows signs of wear, however due to the ornate and intricate nature of the setting, it is not noticeable when worn.
