Edwardian Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 0.85ct center
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and adorns an 0.85ct old Mine Cut diamond at the center of a gorgeous setting. The prong-set stone exhibits H/I color and I1 clarity, sparkling brilliantly with every turn. The raised mounting is graced with fine filigree wirework and a lovely applied floral motif on both sides, adding a wonderful feminine touch. Two old European Cut accent diamonds grace each shoulder, resting beautifully within a romantic heart-shaped box. The accent diamonds collectively weigh 0.25ctw, exhibiting K-L range color and SI2-I1 range clarity, making the overall diamond weight of the ring 1.10ctw. Beautiful scrolled details decorate the front and sides of the band, which trails into a smoothly polished finish that graduates slightly towards the back. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in August 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $7,000.00. A visual masterpiece from all angles, this gorgeous piece would make a stunning engagement ring!
