Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 1.18center
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This elegant piece is crafted in platinum and features a beautiful old European Cut diamond at the center of a gorgeous setting. The sparkling stone rests in a milgrained bezel setting and weighs approximately 1.18ct, exhibiting L/M color and VS1 clarity, catching the light beautifully with every turn. A diamond encrusted half-circle motif adorns each shoulder, with a row of additional diamonds that split the eye-catching motif in half, creating a fabulous Art Deco appeal. The 14 Single Cut accent stones weigh approximately 0.14ctw combined, making the total approximate diamond carat weight of the ring 1.32ctw. A smoothly polished knife-edge style band graduates slightly towards the back, and stamped inside of the shank is a "10% IRID. PLAT" purity mark besides a "SB" maker's mark. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in January 2020, and has a stated retail replacement value of $9,000.00. It looks absolutely beautiful when worn and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size scant 5.25, however, it can be resized. The diamond encrusted centerpiece measures a little more than 1/2" wide, approximately 1/4" tall, and rests a little more than 1/8" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures about 1mm at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
