A gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Made of platinum, the ring has a lovely "step-up" mounting lined with sparkling diamonds. A 1.08ct old European Cut diamond rests at the center, framed by two diamond "steps" that form the shoulders. The center stone has G color and SI1 clarity, and is micro prong set within a square box setting. Lining the steps of the mounting are 10 old European Cut accent diamonds, which weigh approximately .50ctw combined, and have H-I range color and SI range clarity. Elegant hand-engraving and fine milgrain details add further beauty, and a pattern of airline cutouts are visible from the side. Inside the smooth, tapered band is a "PLAT" stamp. The ring issued an appraisal by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in August 2017, and has a stated retail replacement value of $12,500.00 . A timeless and classic beauty, this vintage ring would make a very special engagement piece!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.5, but could be re-sized up or down. When worn, the center of the ring rests approximately 1/4" above the finger. The front of the setting measures approximately 8mm wide, and the tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
